A variety of services for the children and parents are delivered from the centre including:
- Start Up
- Family Support
- Honey Bees Nursery
- Stay and Play sessions

Start Up
Start Up is a citywide project that works closely with parents in Stoke-on-Trent who have childreen aged up to 16 to help remove the barriers that stop them reaching their true potential. The main of the project is to increase opportunities by encouraging and supporting parents to take part in training and get closer to the job market.
Support Workers can provide:
- One to one support
- Home visits
- Assistance to appointments at local colleges, Jobcentre Plus visits, interviews etc.
- Training advice and guidance
The project has two support workers covering the north of the city. You can get in touch with them by contacting the children's centre on 01782 232977.
The project's motto is "I can, I will, I do" so get in touch and see what you can do!

Honey Bees Nursey
The Honey Bees Nursery is a sixty three place purpose built day nursery within the Stoke-on-Trent North’s children’s centre. The nursery provides high quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years. All of it's current childcare provision is registered with Ofsted and each provision has received a rating of “Good” following Ofsted inspections. The Ofsted reports are available on request or from Ofsted’s website (see the Links section of this website).

To provide high quality childcare in a safe and secure environment that encourages children to experience the world around them, learn from those experiences and develop the confidence and ability to achieve their goals.
Nursery Rooms
The nursery has three rooms within the centre dedicated to children aged 0-5 years.
Little Roos Room (0-2)
Little Roos room is the under 2’s unit. The under two’s unit caters for 15 children. Care is given to the children by the equivalent of 5 full time childcare practitioners.
This room provides children with a bright open space with carefully designed areas to let even the smallest of babies develop and explore in safety, supported by caring childcare practitioners.
Bouncy Tiggers Room (2-3)
Bouncy Tiggers room is the 2-3’s unit. This room caters for 32 children. Care is given by the equivalent of 8 full time childcare practitioners.
This is the largest of the nursery rooms creating lots of space, to engage children in a wide range of activities and to let them explore and, most importantly, have lots of fun.
Wise Owls Room (3-5)
Wise Owls room is the pre-school unit. This room caters for 16 children. Care is given by 2 childcare practitioners. This room has been specially created for children to work towards the foundation stage curriculum.
